Need
Healthcare workers experience high rates of burnout driven by workload, administrative burdens, and lack of support. These challenges, amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic, compromise provider wellbeing and quality of care. A system-level approach was needed to promote resilience and prevent burnout.
Solution
In collaboration with subject matter experts, I assisted in developing a training course that explores the causes and symptoms of burnout while offering practical strategies for prevention. The course incorporates trauma-informed care principles, ACEs awareness, and multi-level interventions for individuals, organizations, and systems.
Results
Participants gained a deeper understanding of burnout’s root causes and learned evidence-based approaches to manage stress and build resilience. The training increased awareness of organizational change strategies and strengthened my ability to design trauma-informed educational experiences for healthcare teams.
